Meeting Minutes May 5, 2008
On May 5, 2008 fourteen women of the Eden Homemakers traveled to the beautiful country home of Tom and Bonnie Eyestone at 11680 State Highway 103, Carey, Ohio. We had a tour of their beautiful decorated home. They have restored an old farmhouse in great taste with many antique items. They also have beautiful landscaping and lights. Much work and thought was given into this restoration.
Senior Counselor Deb Phillips called the meeting to order and thanked everyone for their support for the year. Devotions were given by Marilyn Baughman "Only One Mother" and Ruth Wilt "Recipe To Live By". Roll call was answered by "A Humorous School Memory". The secretary and treasurers report was read and approved. Lois Rife, Junior Counselor asked for suggestions for the programs for next year.
Lois introduced Bonnie Eyestone, our speaker for the evening. Bonnie gave a very interesting program on teaching at a private school on the East Coast. What an experience she had along with the culture shock.
Marilyn showed a craft, about your family hands, to make for Mother’s Day and presented each lady with a potted pansy.
Ruth and Marilyn served Klondikes for refreshments.
